Description Work outdoors throughout the summer season at the Aquatics facilities. Maintain the cleanliness for the pool and surrounding areas. Provide excellent customer service and enforce all policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all patrons. Assist the Aquatics Manager to ensure accurate pool chemistry. Supervise Aquatics Team Members, address patron issues when they arise and communicate Aquatics facilities/team needs with management. Provide pool surveillance with 100% attention across different pools and locations. Enforce all policies and procedures described in the Aquatics Staff Manual. Play a key role in implementing the Emergency Action Plan when required. Document all incidents on appropriate incident report forms. Work with Aquatics Supervisor to bring facility up to operating conditions, including: Cleaning and setting-up pool furniture (i.e. umbrellas, chairs, tables, etc.) Cleaning facilities (i.e. Sports Club guardrooms, etc.) Supervise the operations of the pool(s) in conjunction with the Aquatics Supervisor Requirements Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR for Professional Rescuer and AED Certified. Ability to swim 150 yards/tread for two minutes/swim 50 yards non-stop. Swim distance of 20 yards, retrieve a 10 pound brick in 7-10 feet, return to surface and swim on back to starting point. (1 minute 40 seconds) Possess high level of responsibility and attention.
Responsibilities
This role involves working outdoors at aquatic facilities, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring patron safety through surveillance and policy enforcement, and assisting the Aquatics Manager with pool chemistry. The Head Lifeguard will also supervise team members, address patron issues, and communicate facility needs to management.
