Join Our Team as Head of Medical Affairs, Europe Location: Europe (EU preference, e.g. Germany) Reports to: Global Head of Medical Affairs / Chief Scientific Officer The Head of Medical Affairs, Europe will lead the European Medical Affairs function to provide strategic and scientific leadership across the region, ensuring compliant implementation of medical strategy, supporting product success, and strengthening the company’s credibility with HCPs, KOLs, and regulatory bodies in the aesthetics market. Key Responsibilities 1. Medical Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute the regional medical affairs strategy aligned with global objectives and commercial priorities. Provide medical leadership for key aesthetic brands (injectables and/or energy-based devices). Represent Medical Affairs on regional leadership teams and cross-functional projects. 2. Scientific & Clinical Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, societies, and medical communities across Europe. Lead advisory boards, expert panels, and scientific exchange activities. Support investigator-initiated studies and post-market clinical follow-up. 3. Medical Education & Training Oversee design and delivery of medical education programs for HCPs (workshops, congresses, digital platforms). Ensure clinical training content is scientifically accurate, compliant, and aligned with brand strategy. Support local teams in delivering high-quality training and speaker development. 4. Evidence Generation & Data Communication Identify evidence gaps and collaborate on clinical and real-world data projects. Provide scientific input to publications, abstracts, and congress presentations. Ensure accurate, balanced communication of data across all channels. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, and R&D to ensure medical governance. Provide medical input into product launches, lifecycle management, and strategic planning. Act as a key interface between global and country medical teams. 6. Compliance & Governance Ensure all medical activities adhere to EU regulations, industry codes, and company SOPs. Oversee medical review and approval of promotional and non-promotional materials. Establish best practices, processes, and metrics for medical operations in the region. 7. Team Leadership & Development Build and lead a high-performing regional medical affairs team or network of country medical leads/field medical teams. Provide coaching, development, and performance management. Foster a culture of scientific excellence, collaboration, and accountability. Qualifications & Experience Required: Medical degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD in Life Sciences). Minimum 10 years’ experience in Medical Affairs within aesthetics and over 5 years in the similar leadership role, dermatology, medical devices, or related specialty. Strong experience in both strategic and operational medical affairs. Proven track record of KOL engagement, medical education, and compliance. Experience in product launches and lifecycle management in Europe. Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence business strategy. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Fluent in English; additional European languages an advantage. Preferred: International/regional role experience. Understanding of EU regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g. MDR).
