You’ll lead a team of experts who provide technical accounting and regulatory advice across the Group, helping us stay ahead of change and make confident decisions. From guiding complex transactions to shaping our financial reporting strategy, your work will help us deliver trusted, transparent and high-quality financial outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to influence how we respond to evolving IFRS and Solvency II standards, while also developing the accounting expertise across Group Finance. You’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values curiosity, integrity and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop the Accounting Advisory and Treasury Back Office teams. Act as a centre of excellence for technical accounting and regulatory advice, especially around IFRS, Solvency II and PRA reporting. Provide expert guidance on complex commercial transactions, including acquisitions and restructurings. Oversee financial reporting and control for the Group’s treasury entities. Drive improvements in processes, systems and data quality frameworks. Chair technical working groups and contribute to the Group Reporting & Disclosure Committee. Produce high-quality reports for the Group Board, Audit Committee and other governance bodies. Partner with FP&A, Corporate Development and Actuarial teams to ensure consistent messaging and insight. Champion a customer-focused culture within Group Finance. Promote continuous improvement and challenge the status quo to enhance decision-making. Ensure compliance with the Financial Control Framework and lead on key control execution. What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for someone who brings: A professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA). Deep expertise in IFRS with knowledge of Solvency II or similar regulatory frameworks. Strong leadership skills and experience managing high-performing teams. A track record of delivering change and continuous improvement. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. Experience in financial services, ideally insurance, within a regulated environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. A proactive, commercial mindset and ability to work independently. Experience working with programme teams to deliver change. A commitment to high control standards and sound reporting environments.
