WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in a senior accounting leadership role, ideally within an international B2B SaaS company.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, especially IFRS (IFRS 15, IFRS 9, IAS 38), regulations, financial reporting standards and tax codes.
  • Experience managing and leading high-performing accounting teams.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting, financial software and ERP systems.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As the Head of Accounting, you will assume a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health and stability of our organization. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, implementing efficient financial procedures, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Leading a team across multiple accounting functions and develop financial strategies to contribute to the company’s success and growth. You will work closely with key departments, e.g. Finance, Legal, and Operations, to maintain accurate financial records and provide valuable insights for decision-making. Additionally, you will also be responsible for the coordination and alignment of accounting strategies across our globally operating entities, integrating newly acquired companies into the existing accounting landscape while maintaining adherence to accounting standards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop and implement comprehensive accounting strategies that align with our company’s financial goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of timely, accurate financial statements and reports, with special focus on our IFRS Group statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis to support executive decision-making.
  • Play an active role in M&A projects to ensure seamless integration of newly acquired companies into the LucaNet accounting landscape.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to maximize their potential and drive results.
  • Utilize financial data and analytics to identify areas for cost optimization, revenue growth, and operational improvement.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in accounting and finance.
  • Work remotely and/or at one of our locations in Germany.
