TT-Line is one of the leading ferry companies in the Baltic Sea, using modern ferries between Germany, Poland, Lithuania and Sweden. TT-Line carries over 1,000,000 passengers and more than 500,000 freight units annually on its 4 routes, making it the market leader in southern Sweden traffic. TT-Line currently employs around 900 people on board and in the land offices in Travemünde, Rostock, Trelleborg, Karlshamn, Świnoujście/Szczecin and Klaipėda.
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Head of Accounting to lead our international accounting operations. This role includes full responsibility for the accounting teams in Germany, Poland, and Sweden, ensuring consistent standards and compliance across all entities. You will oversee financial reporting, tax compliance, and process optimization, while driving collaboration and efficiency across borders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting leadership, ideally in an international environment.
  • Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB).
  • Hands-on experience with Accounting Systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills across cultures and locations.
  • Fluent in German and English; Polish or Swedish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the accounting departments in Germany, Poland, and Sweden.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with HGB.
  • Oversee tax compliance and coordinate with external auditors and advisors.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Drive harmonization and process improvements across international teams.
  • Manage and optimize the use of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) as the core accounting system.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting in close collaboration with Controlling.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for a multicultural accounting team.
