At Hampton Care Home, we believe every day should be meaningful filled with laughter, connection, and purpose. As our Head of Activities, you’ll lead a small team and help shape vibrant days for our residents by designing and delivering creative, engaging and inclusive activities that support their physical, emotional and social wellbeing.
Role: Head of Activities
Location: Hampton Care Home, Upper Sunbury Road, Hampton, TW12 2DW
Salary: £13.50 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility required for occasional evening or weekend events
You’ll be the heart of daily life at our home inspiring residents to stay active, connected and involved in the things they love. From craft afternoons and gardening to music therapy, reminiscence sessions and exciting trips out, you’ll make sure there’s always something to look forward to.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Leading, mentoring and supporting the activities team to deliver a varied weekly programme
  • Planning and running meaningful activities that are tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
  • Organising outings and inviting entertainers, speakers and community visitors into the home
  • Working with the Home Manager to manage an annual budget and evaluate activity success
  • Collaborating with care teams to ensure activity plans are aligned with residents’ care needs
  • Recording participation and outcomes in residents’ care plans and activity logs
  • Building warm, trusting relationships with residents and their families
  • Holding regular meetings with residents to gather feedback and plan future events
  • Supporting the wider team with seasonal events, staff activities and wellbeing initiatives
  • Conducting regular supervisions and appraisals with your team
