JOB SUMMARY

This is a senior role within Techbuyer Ltd to ownall annuity and maintenance renewals across Techbuyer’s customer portfolio throughout the UK and Europe.
The key focus is building a revenue stream of annual and multi-year contracts across key vendor support services, third party maintenance, software licensing and professional services.
The role reports to the Group CEO and will be part of the company’s Strategic Leadership Team adding experience and expertise to the wider company strategies and growth plans.
Ultimately the role’s success will be measured on the volume and value of annuity contracts closed during each financial year.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Demonstrable and significant experience within the IT sector either within a business, sales management or Director position.
  • Knowledge of the software renewal, maintenance and vendor markets essential, with specific expertise within the HPE, UK TPM, VMware, Veeam and Microsoft preferable.
  • Solid business background, leading and driving revenue growth through strategic planning and new business development being key.
  • Hands-on approach, being comfortable in both a player and player / manager role.
  • Salesperson by career definition, able to negotiate at Director / ‘C’ level with evidenced experience.
  • Comfortable with a multi-tiered sales approach with ownership as both subject matter expert and direct selling.
  • 10+ years within the IT sector demonstrating career progression through excellence.
  • Focused on detail and professionalism in all aspects.

Responsibilities

Working with our Vendor / Partner Manager and sales teams to build strategic relationships with HPE, VMware, Veeam and Microsoft as well as select third party maintenance providers within the UK, Germany, France and across wider Europe. The role would initially be a player / manager position working with our marketing team to create net-new business as well as maximising the current customer base and pipeline.
Some direct sales would be required in addition to sitting as the subject matter expert in support of our End User and Europeans sales teams in maximising profits within the existing customer base.

Main focus in parallel to creating immediate opportunities and revenue streams would be the development of a strategic growth and investment plan to build out a team to support the company’s ambitions in this key growth area. The aim is to establish a business unit capable of creating significant annuity revenue streams.

  • Working alongside the UK and European sales teams to support with all annuity sales.
  • Sitting as a subject matter expert with respect to all aspects of maintenance and annuity services.
  • Build and maintain strategic business relationships across the UK and Europe to ensure excellent service offered to Techbuyer’s customers and prospects.
  • Direct sales to create net-new customers and prospects.
  • Business management to ensure a profitable and strategic investment plan is created and delivered upon.
