About the Job The Head of Application Management is a key role in our IT organization, overseeing the development, maintenance, and optimization of software applications of the customers (OEs) across the CEE region. This position requires a strategic vision for technology applications in a multinational environment, along with the ability to implement and manage these applications effectively across the countries (Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic). What you do Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing application management team across the CEE region, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing with an agile mindset. Develop a comprehensive application strategy involving customers, incorporating emerging technologies and industry trends, overseeing the entire application lifecycle, ensuring scalability and security. Regularly assess application performance, implement enhancements, establish robust issue resolution processes, and drive automation in application management for better efficiency. Plan and execute large-scale application development and integration projects, ensuring project milestones align with customer goals, and implement risk management strategies. Build strong relationships with customers (OEs), AZTEC internal stakeholders, and external vendors, effectively communicate complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and manage vendor contracts. Develop and manage the budget for application development and maintenance, optimize resource allocation, monitor expenditure, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and implement quality assurance processes. Encourage research into new technologies, implement innovative solutions, collaborate with infrastructure and security teams, develop training programs for team members, and promote cross-functional cooperation. What you bring Strong knowledge of application development and maintenance, including understanding of software development life cycle, project management methodologies and agile frameworks. Fluency in English; knowledge of regional languages (Hungarian, Czech, Slovak, or German) is a plus. Excellent leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a multicultural environment and strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Willingness to travel within the CEE region as required. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in application management, including significant leadership roles. Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.
