Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Head of Architecture, you’ll be the custodian of Bunnings’ technology vision – shaping strategy, setting standards, and driving delivery of scalable, customer-focused solutions. Reporting to the General Manager of Strategy, Planning & Architecture, you’ll guide a team of senior architects and analysts to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps that enable business transformation.
This is a pivotal leadership role that combines strategic influence, operational excellence, and people leadership . You’ll build alignment across the business, foster innovation, and ensure technology architecture underpins Bunnings’ growth and customer experience ambitions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Shape the vision: Define and communicate a clear, energising technology architecture strategy aligned to Bunnings’ goals.
  • Lead transformation: Translate organisational priorities into architectural roadmaps, frameworks, and standards that deliver impact at scale.
  • Drive excellence: Oversee consistent, high-quality technology solutions while mitigating risk and ensuring governance.
  • Foster collaboration: Build strong cross-functional and executive relationships, representing architecture in senior forums.
  • Develop talent: Mentor and empower a high-performing team, creating a culture of autonomy, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Innovate: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, embedding best practices and enabling “test and learn” approaches.
