WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • Market leadership: You bring knowledge of the market and NSW & QLD farm systems, alongside commercial nous and critical thinking. farm systems, alongside commercial nous and critical thinking.
  • Experience in Strategic Leadership: You are able to think critically from the first principles of Halter’s mission and the unique challenges and opportunities in NSW & QLD to drive a regional strategy to expand our market presence and achieve growth objectives. You have a demonstrated history of leading business units to ambitious goals and navigating challenges.
  • Sales & commercial: You own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy in NSW & QLD, collaborating with other leaders to deliver results from lead generation through to conversion and customer outcomes.
  • Sales Leadership & Results: You understand how to set team and individual targets, drive KPIs and motivate people to ultimately achieve ambitious targets. You will have a history of delivering high-growth results.
  • Sales Process: You will have a strong understanding of a value-based consultative sales process, and are able to evolve Halter’s existing sales process to the challenges and opportunities of the NSW & QLD markets.
  • Customer Success: You understand how to drive efficient and scalable customer experiences that drive high retention and ARR expansion rates.
  • Technical Team Leadership: You’re a hands-on leader who is keen to get into the details to deliver solutions. You default to getting in the field with customers and your team to solve problems and find opportunities.
  • Team Management: You know how to set clear performance expectations, KPIs and provide regular feedback. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that promotes vulnerability and learning.
  • Training and Development: You know how to design and implement training programs that develop your team’s capabilities.
  • Recruiting: You have been deeply involved with building out teams. You critically think about the roles and people you need, source candidates, actively promote roles, and ultimately attract world-class talent.
  • Cultural Leadership: You have a phenomenal attitude. You’re tenacious and gritty. The hardest times reveal your greatest leadership qualities. Because of your leadership, your team is focused, motivated and successful.

Responsibilities

We are searching for an exceptional General Manager to lead the growth of Halter’s Australian Eastern States Business (New South Wales & Queensland). We’re looking for someone with commercial nous, X-factor, charisma and the ability to overcome complex challenges. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in leading the region’s growth into the hundreds of millions of ARR.
Could be a bit of you? You’ll be excited by exponential growth, and feel right at home leading on ambitious strategies. When the pressure is on in the biggest moments, you’ll be someone who wants to be in the game. You might find yourself juggling time on farm with customers, coaching and developing your team, through to driving growth strategy and cross-functional priorities within Halter. You’ll be masterful at building trusting relationships, driving sales processes, managing large pipelines and enabling a team, whilst advocating for customers with a solutions-oriented mindset.
This isn’t a typical role. This is a high-stakes role, spearheading Halter’s growth in the Australian Eastern States.
Aside from jumping on the Halter roller coaster, you will be making a real-world impact, making farming more productive and sustainable. You will build relationships across New Zealand and Australia’s most influential farming leaders while working closely with senior leaders and the exec team within Halter.
