Join us as Head of Balance Sheet Optimisation where you’ll lead a well-established team with a fresh focus on continuous improvement and challenging the norm. You’ll ensure we deliver consistently excellent frameworks and automated processes for our key balance sheet metrics, while also driving enhancements and supporting key projects as a subject matter expert. A central part of the role is funding optimisation, working closely with Treasury and Finance to ensure our assets and deposits are accurately recognised and optimised for critical liquidity metrics like LCR and NSFR. This is a chance to combine leadership with specialised expertise to strengthen the bank’s balance sheet and stability.

Essential Skills / Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services within Finance, Treasury, or Product Management (asset or liability side).
  • Proven background in managing and leading teams, with a focus on developing capability and improving processes.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for liquidity, funding, capital, and transfer pricing, including LCR, NSFR and related regulatory metrics.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with complex data warehouses, with a solid understanding of how databases interact and integrate.
  • Proven data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex information and translate insights into actions.
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills, with the ability to challenge thinking and drive meaningful change.
  • Demonstrated track record in identifying and delivering process improvements and efficiency enhancements.

Desired / Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience with governance and operational risk frameworks.
  • Familiarity with process automation and workflow optimisation tools.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provision of SME expertise on specific products and services to customers and colleagues, including features, functionalities, benefits, limitations, risks and compliance.
  • Identification of market trends, new features, regulatory requirements and potential risks, and analysis of data obtained from sales figures and, customer feedback, to support the product development process, and communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders to improve product offerings.
  • Response to customer inquiries, resolution of issues, and provision of guidance on product usage. .
  • Presentation of the advantages and features of the product to potential customers, building trust and encouraging adoption.
  • Assistance with the development and execution of marketing materials for the product, such as brochures, presentations, and online content.
  • Participation in training sessions and workshops to share product knowledge and expertise with colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Participation in events, conferences, and other networking opportunities to showcase the product and generate interest.
