Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Head of Banking Operations (m/f/x). In this back-office function you will have a strong focus on building and operating processes that uphold our company value no. 1: We value other people’s money.
- You lead the day-to-day activities of the banking operations teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- You manage our Banking Operations department spanning the areas of Anti-Financial Crime Operations, fraud operations, KYC Operations, Lifecycle Operations as well as individual client related banking processes.
- You further support our credit operations processes, reporting and monitoring.
- You possess and maintain a deep understanding of the FinTech/Investment industry, including regulatory requirements and risk/compliance considerations.
- You manage operational requests from authorities and escalations to authorities.
- You ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies in all activities the team carries out together with our Compliance, AML & Outsourcing teams.
- You drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness of our teams.
- You further develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for data-driven monitoring of all Banking Operations teams in close collaboration with Risk Management, Finance and other departments.
- You report to the Managing Directors about developments and progress in the Banking Operations department on a regular basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
- You have extensive prior experience in the retail banking/financial services sector.
- You have an excellent academic background in Finance, Business or Economics.
- You possess proven leadership skills and analytical and problem solving abilities as Team or Department Lead at a bank, investment firm or other financial institution, ideally in the Banking Operations area with a strong focus on AFC operations.
- You are highly interested in the world of capital markets with expert knowledge of process management and optimisation.
- You thrive for innovative process design and agile product development with an affinity for efficient technology based solutions for digital processes.
- You are highly motivated to lead high-performing teams to success by creating a supportive and friendly work environment.
- You have full professional proficiency in German and English as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
