The team is part of Risk Intelligence and Knowledge Systems unit of Munich Re Life & Health division, which serves as a regional analytics centre (RAC) for Europe, UK and Latin Americas. The department is responsible for data and AI strategy development and execution, biometrics insights and knowledge modelling for more than 50 markets, for 500+ cedents, and 1,500+ active reinsurance contracts. We strategically invest in scalable, easy-to-use data and knowledge technologies to create and operationalize high quality products and services using structured and unstructured data, serving both internal and external clients. We believe that better data and advanced analytics can strengthen our reinsurance core and service business and will be the foundation for the business models of tomorrow.

We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Head of Biometric Analysis and Insights for LH1 MUC Hub – the hub is responsible for all Life and Health Reinsurance business in Continental Europe (w/o Iberia, Italy, Malta) and Israel. The position will report into Head of Department, Risk Intelligence and Knowledge Systems.
You will ensure high quality of data management, experience studies and biometrics portfolio analysis with the focus on traditional statistical methods, actuarial models, and biometrics insights. Furthermore, key focus on expansion and extension of our existing actuarial studies infrastructure landscape, and overall biometrics team leadership.
Biometrics being a fundamental piece of our business, this person will champion the topic with stakeholders in the MUC hub and ensure that business value add is in the forefront via current solution optimization and biometrics-driven new solutions offering.
