We are looking for a Head of Boarding for an International School based in Chengdu. This position is available from the upcoming 2026-27 academic year in August 2026. Job responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the boarding program, ensuring a safe, caring, and well-disciplined environment for all students Lead and manage the boarding staff team, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance evaluations Develop and implement policies and procedures in line with safeguarding and child protection standards Foster a nurturing, community-oriented atmosphere that promotes student wellbeing, independence, and personal growth Collaborate closely with academic staff, parents, and external service providers to support students’ academic and emotional development Organize evening, weekend, and holiday activities to enrich the boarding experience Ensure compliance with local regulations and international best practices regarding student accommodation and care Bachelor’s degree or above (Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred) Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in a boarding school or residential setting Strong understanding of child safeguarding and welfare practices Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Culturally sensitive and able to work with students from diverse backgrounds Competitive monthly salary commensurate with experience and qualifications Monthly housing allowance of 3,500 RMB Air-ticket allowance of 11,000 RMB Public holidays Summer and Winter holidays Public holidays Medical health insurance
