We sat down with the GM Branch who let us know the following about the tūranga (role): What are the key tasks the Head of Branch will be responsible for? Developing and executing a Regional Plan in alignment with the national Partnership Banking rautaki (strategy), ensuring collaboration across all segments in the Region to drive a coordinated approach to market opportunities. Leadership of the Region's operations and customer outcome performance including full responsibility for engagement, NPS, people leadership and development, credit quality, operational and reputational risk. Enhancing BNZ's profile as "The Bank for New Zealand" within your Region by building a leading presence in the local communities and generating new business opportunities. What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity? BNZ has invested a significant amount in our branch network recently, with branches moving to longer opening hours and new fit outs across the majority of our sites. We are truly kiritaki (customer) obsessed and need someone who will put our customers and colleagues at the front of all decisions. This is a pivotal time to join as Head of Branch to further enhance the experience for all customers & colleagues. What will success look like for the candidate in this role? Leading, inspiring & motivating a fully integrated Retail Banking team! In this role you will focus on driving best practice, supporting your region to adapt to our changing environment, and providing an integrated (kiritaki) customer experience with successful business outcomes! What attributes will this person have in order to be successful? To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of leading high performing teams within a highly professional customer focused industry. We are looking for someone who also has: Significant people leadership experience, and as a leader of leaders the ability to motivate, build teams and achieve results through others with proven coaching capabilities Demonstrable experience of market connectedness, external orientation, and stakeholder engagement.
