Get On Board for a Dynamic and Purposeful Career. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Branch to lead our operations in Xiamen Branch, PIL China Region. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in setting up and managing the PIL China Branch office, driving business growth, and ensuring operational and financial excellence in alignment with our corporate vision. Key Responsibilities: 1. Leadership Provide visionary leadership to develop and grow PIL’s business in the local branch. Optimize team performance through strategic headcount planning and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. 2. Strategic and Commercial Oversight Formulate and execute business strategies to achieve agency scorecards, budgets, and business plans. Drive revenue, growth, and profitability by owning the P&L and delivering on all financial and commercial targets. Identify market opportunities and mitigate risks through proactive problem-solving and strategic decision-making. 3. Operational Efficiency Streamline and improve business processes to ensure cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency. Oversee equipment management, port, and terminal operations to ensure seamless service delivery. Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and labor laws, in alignment with PIL Group’s policies. 4. Financial Management Manage working capital effectively, including cash flow and debtor control, to ensure financial stability. Prepare, monitor, and optimize approved budgets while minimizing financial exposure. Drive efficiency in financial reporting and ensure timely submission of reports. 5. Team Development and Governance Coach and mentor team members to build a sustainable and high-performing workforce. Cultivate a culture of accountability and ensure adherence to corporate governance standards. Maintain a diverse, inclusive, and future-ready talent pipeline. MUST HAVE: Industry Experience: At least 10 years of general management experience with full P&L responsibility, ideally in container/liner shipping or a related industry. Commercial Acumen: Hands-on experience in commercial and sales functions, with a strong focus on driving business growth. Emerging Markets Exposure: Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities in emerging markets. Leadership: Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach to management. WE VALUE: Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field. Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of container/liner shipping, equipment management, and port/terminal operations. Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English.
