Responsibilities

As Head of Business and Computing, you will:

  • Ensure excellent standards of teaching and learning across the subject
  • Take responsibility for the strategic overview of the department, including self-evaluation and the improvement plan
  • Monitor student progress and implement targeted interventions
  • Develop the curriculum, schemes of work and assessment at all key stages
  • Create and share high-quality resources, promoting collaborative planning
  • Visit lessons and conduct formal observations across the department
  • Provide CPD opportunities for staff, including leading training as appropriate
  • Undertake performance management of department colleagues
