Responsibilities
  • Define, own, and deliver the strategy for new business acquisition across core and emerging markets.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of Business Development professionals to meet commercial and strategic objectives.
  • Identify and secure strategic partnerships with high profile brands, retailers, NGOs, designers, and creators.
  • Oversee prospecting strategies and outreach initiatives to maximise lead quality and conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Operations) to align business development with company-wide priorities and innovation.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and relationship-building with senior-level decision-makers.
  • Track, manage, and report on the new business sales pipeline, ensuring timely updates, clear forecasting and practical recommendations.
  • Represent Teemill externally at key events and meetings, acting as a spokesperson and thought leader within the sustainable fashion and circular economy space.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of emerging trends, market shifts, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
  • Degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong interest and/or experience in sustainability and circular business models.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Exceptional relationship management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • High level of creativity, drive, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of sales and CRM systems and tools.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in business development, partnerships, or commercial leadership roles.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering new business growth, ideally in sustainability, fashion, SaaS, or tech-enabled product sectors.
  • Proven track record in team leadership, account acquisition and commercial negotiation.
  • Strong experience of strategic planning, forecasting and reporting to senior stakeholders.
