JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Business Operations to oversee and drive sales, trading, and operational activities within our petroleum business. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in international trade, supply chain management, and petroleum product markets, particularly within the GCC region. This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record of managing end-to-end trading operations, supplier relationships, and execution processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 15+ years of experience in business operations, petroleum trading, or a related industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of international trade, supply chain management, and trading markets.
  • Strong understanding of seller, supplier, and buyer dynamics in the petroleum sector.
  • Proven expertise in handling pre-execution and post-execution activities.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Deep market insight, especially within the GCC region, with a strong network of industry connections.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage trading operations for key petroleum products, including Gas Oil, Crude Oil, Fuel, Naphtha Oil, Bitumen, and Premium Motor Spirit.
  • Oversee pre-execution and post-execution processes, ensuring seamless deal closures and deliveries.
  • Develop and execute business strategies to optimize supply chain operations, enhance efficiency, and maximize profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sellers, suppliers, and clients to facilitate smooth transactions and long-term partnerships.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitive dynamics to inform trading strategies and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
  • Drive operational improvements and implement best practices in petroleum trading within the GCC region.
