JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Care to lead our team in providing exceptional care to residents within our care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for senior care, and the ability to develop and implement effective care plans. This role requires excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a care home or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of senior care practices and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Experience in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
• A valid driving licence is preferred for facilitating transportation as needed.

• Oversee the daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in senior care.
• Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each resident.
• Supervise and support staff members, fostering a positive working environment that encourages professional development.
• Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and external agencies to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
• Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with organisational policies.
• Lead training sessions for staff on best practices in senior care and IT systems used within the facility.
• Promote a culture of respect, dignity, and compassion within the care home.
