The Commercial & Procurement team sits within the Vice President (Finance, Commercial and Estates) area of responsibility and is a professional service function with a UCL-wide remit.

ABOUT YOU

Strategically minded and deeply commercial, we are looking for someone to come in and collaboratively devise a plan to innovatively leverage our capital spend, to an appropriate risk-level, and establish a capable, proportionate supply chain.
Extensive knowledge of construction procurement and supply chains is essential, ideally with knowledge of the London market. Strong awareness of different contractual and commercial models, along with refined skills in integrating priorities such as Sustainability, Social Value and Accessibility into sourcing and management activity is vital.
The right candidate will relish both strategy and delivery work, as well as being an adept communicator and negotiator, at ease dealing with a range of extremely senior external and internal contacts.

ABOUT THE ROLE

An exceptional, greenfield opportunity has arisen in our Commercial & Procurement team, the Head of Category – Estates Development will report to the Director of Supply Chain, and partner with the Capital Programme Director and their leadership team to build, manage and assure a consultant and contractor supply chain capable of delivering our capital pipeline. From groundbreaking new facilities to refurbishments and major engineering projects, there is a breadth of complex and exciting construction activity for the Commercial & Procurement team to start to contribute to.
