Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Chemistry department, ensuring high standards of teaching, curriculum delivery, and student achievement.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Chemistry lessons aligned with the Welsh national curriculum.
  • Monitor and support student progress through assessment, data tracking, and targeted interventions.
  • Provide leadership and professional development support to Science department colleagues.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to align strategic goals and educational initiatives.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and discipline while fostering a respectful, inclusive classroom culture.
  • Play an active role in the wider school community, including pastoral care, extracurricular activities, and school events.
  • Contribute to safeguarding practices and ensure a safe, supportive learning environment for all students.
