JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Commercial to join our community hub team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the organisation’s core operations and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in commercial roles, preferably in Social Care or a related sector.
  • Proven track record of driving growth and expansion.
  • Strong experience in sales and business development
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain key relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Business Partner with the Operations Director to identify and maximise opportunities by working in partnership with the people we support, their families, commissioners, operations and community hub team members.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with Commissioners, Local Authorities, ICB’s and Housing Associations (in partnership with the Housing Manager).
  • Business Partner with the Heads of Areas and Assessment and Placement Managers to achieve 95%+ occupancy and eliminate long term voids.
  • Business Partner with the Head of Pricing, Senior Pricing and Data Partner and Home Managers to ensure Care Needs Assessments are completed accurately and in a timely manner to support fee uplift negotiations.
  • Business Partner with the Head of Pricing and Finance Business Partner to ensure that placements are sustainably priced, ensuring cost effective operations, whilst maintaining quality and safety.
  • Operationalise new developments to ensure these are delivered on time and in line with the Board approved business case.
  • Business Partner with the Head of New Developments to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion through new developments.
  • Identify homes that require repurposing and/or redesigning and work with appropriate functions to transform these homes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
