Reporting to the Managing Director, this role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for growth, a proven track record in commercial management, and the ability to lead commercial operations in line with strategic objectives.
Please note this role requires you to work from our Dundee office.

  • Proven experience as a senior leader in a commercial role
  • Knowledge of commercial finance, procurement, contract management, and tendering
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiating contracts and managing legal services.
  • Understanding of the energy sector, and the commercial landscape
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and people skills
  • Relevant qualifications in finance, law, procurement, or a related field
  • Professional certifications in procurement, contracts, or project management
  • Strategic thinker with a purposeful mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Knowledgeable of risk management, legal frameworks, and commercial negotiation.
  • A passion for renewable energy and sustainable operations.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the commercial division, developing and executing governance
  • Member of the leadership team, aligning commercial strategy with company growth
  • Drive commercial opportunities and optimise existing business governance.
  • Oversee financial management, ensuring compliance and stakeholder support
  • Manage group financial risk and ensure fiscal health
  • Develop and manage procurement strategies
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, to support supply chain effectiveness
  • Govern contractual agreements and client management
  • Ensure regulatory, and financial compliance.
  • Lead the tendering process and ensure high quality, competitive proposals
  • Negotiate complex contracts, resolving issues and mitigate risks
  • Provide oversight of all legal matters, liaising with external legal advisors as needed
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial team
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative culture that encourages continuous improvement
