THE ROLE
The role serves as the principal strategic and financial partner to the Chief Commercial Officer, overseeing financial matters with MCPS and leading a team of finance business partners. Responsibilities include managing financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and cost control for PRS and Joint Venture revenue streams through to distributions, as well as supporting the COO and Distribution Operations team in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
The Commercial Finance Team in PRS for Music, sits within the wider Finance team and business partners all areas within the business from Commercial to Membership Support to Legal. As a team of 5, the Commercial Finance team analyses the monthly performance of the business from a revenue, costs and distributions basis, composing monthly reporting packs for the Executive Leadership Team and members sitting on PRS for Music’s Board. The Commercial Finance team are also responsible for leading the process of compiling the bi-annual forecast and annual budget in which we challenge and support our stakeholders to achieve the goals set out in our 5 year plan.
