We’re looking for a dynamic and results-driven Head of Commercial Operations to take a fresh look at how we do things and drive operational transformation. You’ll be someone with experience in time-based consultancy businesses and a proven playbook for driving efficiency, profitability and growth. Your core responsibility will be to review our established processes and systems; refining or reimaging these to deliver performance improvements and increased margin.
Reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating with the leadership team, the Head of Commercial Operations may join the Executive Board depending on experience. This hybrid role, attached to Verve’s London or Manchester hub, offers a strategic leader the chance to make a significant impact within a dynamic, innovative organisation.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Strategic planning: Partner with the leadership team to implement strategies that ensure we hit targets and strengthen Verve’s progressive position
  • Change management: Lead cross-functional teams through transformation, building a culture of accountability and excellence
  • Operational excellence: Drive efficiency by optimising workflows, improving project management, and handling risks
  • Financial oversight: Keep budgets and resources on track to achieve profitability goals
  • Digital transformation: Use tech to simplify operations and drive growth

EXPERIENCE

  • Strong operational experience, with a playbook of how to realise efficiencies in a marketing agency, consultancy or professional services business
  • Must be able to demonstrate past results i.e. show how and by how much you optimised resources, improved margins, etc.
