We’re seeking a creative, articulate, and organised Head of Communications and Engagement to help elevate our presence, strengthen our positioning, and attract new markets and clients.
    As the Head of Communications and Engagement, you’ll play a key role in building on our achievements and driving our visibility in the outside world. You’ll bring your creativity, strategic vision, and hands-on expertise to the team, ensuring Oasis continues to thrive and make a difference.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong background in communications, marketing, and digital media management.
  • Experience developing and executing marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in content creation, copywriting, and brand management.
  • Expert knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
  • Excellent relationship-building and networking skills.

· Experience designing and implementing effective communication strategies that engage audiences and deliver results.

· IT-literate, with experience using the internet, social media, and digital marketing for promotion.

QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficiency in IT hardware and software, including:
  • MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Internet, and publishing/design software.

  • Website content management systems and social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn) to enhance audience engagement.
  • Experience in strategic marketing and planning.
  • A current, clean driving licence.

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • Understanding of education, development, and learning organisations.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develop and execute communication strategies to enhance Oasis’s visibility and reputation.
· Identify and progress new business development opportunities
· Manage and develop digital platforms, ensuring a consistent and engaging presence across our website, social media, and other channels.
· Collaborate with the team to create content, manage campaigns, and engage with stakeholders.
· Lead and manage media relations, public speaking opportunities, and external communications.
· Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication efforts, adjusting strategies where needed.
This role involves working closely with the Oasis Directors Group and encompasses six key areas of responsibility:
· Communications and Marketing: Design and implement strategies to actively engage potential clients and programme participants, raise awareness of Oasis, and deepen engagement with existing and new audiences.
· Digital: Oversee and champion all web, social media, and e-communications to support recruitment goals, brand positioning, and client/practitioner engagement.
· Business Development: Support proactive processes to expand and strengthen the Oasis community through networking and connecting.
· Administration: Contribute positively to core staff group operations.
· Financial Activities: Ensure budget adherence and seek value-for-money opportunities in all related activities.
· Personal Development: Continuously improve knowledge, skills, and performance through training and self-directed learning.

ROLE PURPOSE

The post holder will develop and implement the overall marketing, brand, and communications strategy for Oasis. Working with the Directors Group, they will ensure Oasis’s strategic direction and success by increasing outreach to new and existing audiences while enhancing engagement across digital platforms.
