Job Description

  • Act as BaFin-appointed Compliance officer for MaComp- and MaRisk-Compliance and Single Safeguarding Officer
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance policies, procedures, controls, and frameworks. Regularly review and update these to align with regulatory changes and industry best practices.
  • Engage cross-functionally as well as with internal and external auditors to implement a best-in-class compliance management program, in line with regulatory standards and industry best practices
  • Coordinate compliance-related projects with internal teams and external partners. Lead the development and enhancement of compliance processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as advisor and strategic partner to senior management, providing expert compliance insights and guidance to support decision-making and drive the organization’s strategic initiatives.
  • Provide strategic leadership, management, and guidance to the Compliance team. Foster a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and collaboration. Mentor and develop team members to achieve their professional goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree in law, business administration or any related field
  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable role in the financial services industry
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, such as MiFID 2, WpHG, KWG, MaComp and MaRisk etc
  • Adequate leadership experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management, leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
  • Ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment and to apply a pragmatic, risk-based approach
  • Business fluency in German and English
