Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our dynamic Communications and Corporate Affairs organisation as a key member of the Leadership Team within the Internal Communications & Strategy function. This pivotal role is accountable for delivering global communications to employees and plays a critical part in shaping our internal narrative.
You’ll work in close partnership with the External Affairs organisation to ensure alignment on messaging and strategies for external communications across the function. Additionally, you’ll activate impactful programmes by collaborating with our regional and market communications network—driving consistency and scale across all initiatives.
In this leading role, you’ll manage and develop a team of three direct reports, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, own and deliver our internal communications and employee engagement strategy aligned to our broader communications strategic framework
  • Establish an effective operating model to align on engagement priorities across the organisation in partnership with the Communications Business Partners and Areas to ensure key campaigns and initiatives are communicated consistently across the organisation
  • Deliver high quality content and messaging to drive the right impact and engagement, with activation guidelines for ‘bulletin updates versus ‘campaigns’
  • Establish a clear operating guide for change management to understand what and how we communicate within Reckitt to drive cohesion and clarity on what tools can be used
  • Design a communications approach for the Executive team and senior leadership team which leverages key activation moments (conference, strategic updates, quarterly results) to drive adoption of the strategic priorities and embed key messages into the organisation
  • Create a clear channel strategy to optimise employee engagement and visibility of programmes online and offline through the organisation, with the appropriate governance model
  • Create and embed the recognition programme for Reckitt, including awards to drive impact and consistency across the organisation
  • Use people insight and business knowledge to support informed decision making and provide communications solutions to our leadership team
  • Establish an operating model with the markets to create a ONE Reckitt approach, unified voice and consistent messaging on global priorities
  • Manage, co-ordinate & facilitate internal events including townhalls, fireside chats and conferences
  • Demonstrate the effectiveness of the internal communications strategy through robust measurement against KPI’s to inform continuous improvement
  • Advise on reactive communications, being ready to create and deploy tactics to meet changing needs and prepare risk mitigation communications
  • Partner with External Affairs on the key messaging and advise on internal opportunities for key activations e.g. COP
  • Lead and develop a high performing team aligned with the right capabilities and development to meet the business and individual needs
