Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a senior and highly influential position within the organisation. As Head of Content, you will own the content strategy, execution, and output across the entire business. You will report directly to the Marketing Director and work closely with senior leadership to ensure that every piece of content supports our commercial objectives, builds authority in the market, and delivers measurable impact.
You will be responsible for defining our brand tone of voice, elevating the quality of all communications, and leading a high-performance content team (in-house and freelance). This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can think both creatively and commercially, with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for storytelling that delivers results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and own a data-driven, results-focused content strategy aligned with business goals and brand positioning
  • Lead the production of high-quality, engaging, and SEO-optimised content across multiple channels: website, blog, email, video, podcast, social media, and printed materials
  • Manage the content calendar to ensure consistent and timely delivery of content across campaigns and platforms
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and senior stakeholders to align content with lead generation, product launches, and customer journey goals
  • Build, lead, and manage a content team, including external freelancers, writers, and creative partners
  • Maintain consistency of brand tone, messaging, and storytelling across all touchpoints
  • Monitor and report on content performance metrics and KPIs (traffic, engagement, conversion), using insights to continuously improve impact
  • Ensure all content adheres to legal, ethical, and brand guidelines
  • Keep up to date with trends in digital content, AI tools, and competitor activity, introducing new formats and innovations where relevant
