About the job


The Head of Contracts & Procurement will be responsible for leading and overseeing the Contracts & Procurement Department, ensuring effective procurement planning, tendering, contracting, supplier management, and contract administration in line with approved policies, procedures, delegated authorities, and the strategic objectives of the Federal Authority.The role will provide strategic and operational leadership to the department, ensuring effective governance, compliance, service delivery, performance management, and continuous improvement across contracts and procurement activities.

  • Key Responsibilities:Lead procurement, tendering, contracting, and supplier management activities.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, strategies, and operational plans.
  • Oversee contract preparation, execution, renewals, and bank guarantees.
  • Ensure compliance with government procurement policies, delegated authorities, and governance requirements.
  • Manage supplier and stakeholder relationships and monitor contract performance.
  • Oversee departmental budgets, KPIs, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and develop the Contracts & Procurement team.


  • Requirements:Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field.
  • Strong senior-level experience in contracts and procurement, preferably within a UAE Government/Federal Government environment.
  • Strong knowledge of tendering, contract management, procurement governance, and supplier management.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CMA, CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent are advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
