Description

Job description

Are you a strategically minded finance professional with a strong drive for control, and do you want to play a key role in shaping the financial performance of an internationally active industrial company? At Kelvion, you will assume a prominent role at the intersection of corporate management, strategic planning, and operational performance improvement. In an increasingly capital market-oriented environment, you will make a significant contribution to transparency, forecast accuracy, financial resilience, and sustainable value creation for management, investors, and other stakeholders.

Your tasks

  • Overall responsibility for the group-wide budget, forecast and medium-term planning process, including the derivation of reliable steering impulses for the Executive Board, Management and Senior Management.
  • Further development of integrated corporate planning across profit and loss statement, balance sheet, cash flow, liquidity, OPEX and CAPE – with a focus on transparency, scenario planning and value-oriented management
  • Control and commentary on monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in close cooperation with Accounting, Treasury and the business units, as well as deriving decision-relevant measures to improve results.
  • Preparation of high-quality management and board reports as well as target-group-oriented documents for shareholders, financing partners and other capital market-related stakeholders.
  • Participation in financially relevant topics within a capital market-oriented environment, in particular performance dialogues, refinancing and financing issues, covenant monitoring, and cash and liquidity management.
  • Sparring partner for CEO, CFO and management on strategic issues, investment decisions, portfolio prioritization, business cases and transformation initiatives
  • Early identification of opportunities, risks and deviations, as well as development of action options to safeguard corporate goals and financial target corridors.
  • Further development of reporting, controlling and planning processes, including KPI framework, standardization, automation and use of modern BI and EPM solutions.
  • Professional and disciplinary leadership as well as targeted development of the FP&A/Controlling team with the aim of further expanding a high-performing, analytically oriented and business-oriented management function.
  • Close collaboration with international functions and regions to ensure consistent governance, reporting and performance standards across the group.

Your profile

  • Successfully completed studies in business administration, economics, finance or a comparable field; additional qualifications such as CFA, CMA, CPA or certified accountant (IHK) are an advantage.
  • Several years of relevant professional experience (typically 8–12 years) in FP&A, controlling or corporate finance, ideally in an internationally active, capital market-oriented or private equity-led industrial company
  • Leadership experience of international teams
  • Solid expertise in integrated financial planning, performance management, cash and liquidity management, and in building reliable decision-making foundations for top management bodies.
  • Excellent understanding of the requirements of a capital market-oriented environment, e.g., regarding governance, transparency, stakeholder communication, refinancing, covenants, and financial control logics.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and strategic skills, as well as a high level of confidence in handling complex data models, business cases and scenario analyses.
  • Convincing communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex financial relationships clearly, precisely and in a way that is appropriate for the target audience, up to the executive level.
  • Excellent knowledge of modern finance and reporting systems, especially Excel, Power BI, SAP BW/BI, SAP S/4HANA, and ideally consolidation and planning solutions, ideally Tagetik.
  • A high degree of initiative, implementation strength and change management skills, as well as the ability to drive sustainable improvements in a demanding and international environment.
