WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
• Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in a senior controlling, financial leadership, or audit management role within an international, multi-entity environment, ideally within media, technology, or similarly dynamic industries.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, accounting standards, internal controls, and audit processes.
• Proven track record of leading teams with empathy, integrity, and a focus on professional growth.
• Strong experience with financial systems, process automation, and driving operational improvements.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset.
• High attention to detail, with the ability to manage complexity and drive standardization in a fast-paced, evolving organization.

THE ROLE

The Head of Controlling plays a critical role in safeguarding the financial integrity of Gentoo Media by ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and transparency of financial reporting and controlling processes. This role will cover the entire Gentoo Media Group internationally and is responsible for developing and maintaining a strong internal control environment in accordance with IFRS, driving process improvements, ensuring audit readiness, and ensuring compliance with internal and external accounting standards.
