Job Description We are seeking an experienced, strategically minded Head of Controlling for a subsidiary of the Deutsche Telekom Group. The role plays a key part in financial management and actively supports the achievement of business objectives in an international, innovative environment. Key Responsibilities: Strategic design, development, and operation of the company’s controlling system Professional and people leadership of a 10-person controlling team, including motivation and development of team members Full coordination and management of financial planning processes (budgeting, planning, and forecasting), ensuring clear ownership of responsibilities Preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reports to senior management and stakeholders Understanding, aligning, and representing business needs within the organization Ensuring and driving effective communication across different levels (management, departments, partners) Responsibility for comprehensive financial performance analysis and development of business decision-support proposals Proactive leadership and end-to-end ownership of cost management and efficiency improvement initiatives Driving and owning the implementation of group-level controlling guidelines, while continuously developing and enhancing local controlling processes with a strong focus on digitalization and automation Qualifications University degree in economics or finance Minimum 8–10 years of relevant controlling experience, including several years in a leadership role in a multinational environment Excellent people management skills, with the ability to strengthen team cohesion and maintain a collaborative, supportive, and motivating work environment Business-level English language skills Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills in an international environment Openness to IT solutions in controlling, especially data-driven, digitalized, and automated processes Strong analytical skills and business mindset Proactive, results-oriented approach and structured way of thinking Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple parallel processes effectively Advantages German language skills Experience in the telecommunications or IT sector In-depth knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems Experience in international projects Additional Information Place of work: Budapest, with a flexible hybrid work model * Please be informed that our remote working possibility is only available within Hungary due to European taxation regulation.
