QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years overall experience in a banking / financial services industry
  • Experience in leading delivery and engineering efforts for large scale transformation programs focused on front to back platform modernization by leveraging both on-prem and Cloud infrastructure, Microservices, Data Streaming technologies and SaaS platforms
  • Demonstrable expertise in leading projects involving standardized product roll out across geographies, migration of core workloads to cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
  • Extensive experience in managing project delivery using agile practices and modern toolkit promoting faster time to market and automation of software delivery process e.g. Gitlab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, Artifactory, Sonar, Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Deep understanding of API design, development and lifecycle management practices and underlying technologies like REST, JSON, Swagger etc and High Throughput and low latency system requirements
  • Deep understanding of resiliency needs and controls to be implemented for supporting franchise critical applications on public cloud infrastructure
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written, influencing and engagement skills across all levels in the organization and ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical colleagues
  • Knowledge of Core Banking platforms and business flows related to payments processing, liquidity

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Core Accounts / DDA (Demand and Deposit Account) Technology which is part of Citi Services Technology is seeking a senior technology professional to lead the engineering and delivery efforts for Core Banking Transformation in LATAM region. This is a key regulatory commitment for the franchise and will involve leading the solution delivery across cloud native DDA platform, integration services on AWS cloud and data distribution. These components are critical to the end-to-end solution and will interact across 20+ platforms front to back from Product Processors all the way to Finance and Regulatory Reporting for each of the markets. The role will be based out of Tampa, Florida, USA

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the delivery of the Core Accounts workstreams across DDA (3rd party cloud platform vendor), AWS Cloud platform, Integration Services and Data Distribution services build for the LATAM Core Banking transformation
  • Interface with LATAM Core Banking transformation program and represent Core Accounts in the program steer co and delivery governance forums
  • Drive the engagement with Core Accounts product, AWS cloud, Information Security and Services Architecture and Production Support teams to ensure the solution components are delivered in line with IT architecture standards and IT policies
  • Champion engineering excellence by actively promoting and governing the use of development standards and ensure that the engineering hygiene KPIs are met e.g. bit bucket repository hygiene, pull request reviews, code commit frequency by collaborating with development leads
  • Drive the adoption of Gen AI technologies Co-pilot, Citi Squad and other tools to ensure the development productivity KPIs are met
  • Collaborate with product teams across Payments, Loans, Liquidity, Trade, Markets, Operations and Finance to understand business drivers and provide thought leadership in managing risks across the overall program delivery
  • Manage the budget allocated for Core Accounts delivery and ensure minimum over/underspend
