Responsibilities:

  • Drive forward and deliver the CA&E team’s paid media strategy for our corporate brand, with responsibility for end-to-end delivery of paid campaigns. As part of this area of responsibility, you will ensure an integrated approach with our earned and own channel plans.
  • Other responsibilities across paid media include:
  • Manage paid sponsorship opportunities that build corporate reputation.
  • Global corporate paid media campaigns: liaison and co-ordination with Europe zone and global teams; management of local relationships with our Digital Marketing Centre of Expertise and our media and creative agencies; responsibility for agency briefing; budget management; local asset adaptation and sign-off; post campaign measurement and reporting.
  • UKI corporate paid media campaigns: work closely on plan development and delivery with Director of Communications & Engagement. This includes:
  • Supporting the delivery of content creation , as required.
  • Define the team’s advocacy and influence approach to support corporate brand building. As part of this, deliver targeted opportunities to leverage advocacy and influence in support of the team’s reputation building plans
  • Lead our For Women in Science project and annual activation, with responsiblity for planning, recruiting and managing one contractor and ensuring impeccable end-to-end project delivery. You will also be responsible for paid and earned media plans to support the promotion of the project’s objectives.
  • Work closely with the Director of Communications & Engagement to support the CA&E team’s work across brand issues management, including the provision of advice and best practice to divisional colleagues and senior leaders. Establish relationships and work collaboratively with divisional advocacy and influence colleagues in the UKI, as well as colleagues in our CA&E Europe zone and global teams.
  • The Head of CA&E is also responsible for ensuring robust monitoring, tracking and timely and accurate reporting of all brand issues management.
  • Review brand marketing collateral, assessing potential reputational risk.
  • Act as Deputy Chair of our UKI Editorial Board, ensuring CA&E are leveraging appropriate brand news for corporate news and channels.
  • Establish and forge strong relationships across corporate and sector-relevant media. This includes proactively supporting the CA&E team’s media relationship management plans; identifying new/relevant journalists for the team; and ensuring on-going media engagement opportunities are in place throughout the year.
  • Help ensure accurate tracking of the external budget.
  • Deputise for the Director of Communications & Engagement
