Description

Are you passionate about leading complex engineering projects that push the limits of what’s technically possible? In this role, you will take responsibility for the execution of highly specialized cryogenic plant projects — from the liquefaction of helium and hydrogen to large-scale cooling systems operating at temperatures down to 1.5 Kelvin. As Head of Cryogenic Plant Projects, you will oversee a team of experienced project managers and engineers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll play a central role in shaping the strategic and operational success of a world-leading technology company in the field of cryogenics. Aufgaben Lead the Project Execution department with approximately ten engineers and project managers. Take full responsibility for planning, implementing, and controlling complex international projects — from design through commissioning. Ensure compliance with all contractual, technical, and financial requirements, as well as quality and safety standards. Manage claim and contract topics in close cooperation with legal and contract management teams. Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to support large-scale project bids with your project management expertise. Drive continuous improvement and capacity planning for project execution and engineering departments. Mentor and develop your team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability. Qualifikation Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Plant Engineering (or equivalent). Several years of proven experience in managing large-scale industrial projects, ideally in cryogenics, gas liquefaction, or thermodynamic systems. Strong leadership background, preferably with prior executive or management team exposure. Solid understanding of contract and claim management within an international engineering environment. Fluent in English and German, both technically and commercially. Strategic mindset combined with hands-on implementation skills.
