The Head of Customer Segment Proposition role is a dynamic and impactful role with a broad range of responsibilities. Some of your day-to-day activities may include the below:   Define and evolve customer segment strategies and propositions that align with commercial goals and customer needs, ensuring ANZ delivers distinctive and insight-led offerings. Own the strategic direction for Affluent and Personal segments, leading the creation of compelling propositions that deepen engagement and drive growth. Collaborate with cross-functional leaders across Everyday Banking, Home Loans, and Personalisation to set priorities and deliver segment-led outcomes that make a real impact. Partner with Customer Lifecycle Management to embed propositions into lifecycle programs, driving customer progression, retention, and long-term value. Work closely with Brand & Marketing to take propositions to market in ways that resonate with customers and deliver strong commercial results. Translate strategic objectives into clear KPIs, champion operational excellence, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across segment-aligned teams. Influence at the highest level by providing strategic input to leadership forums and driving continuous improvement across the Customer Proposition function.   This position offers flexibility and creativity—you’ll be encouraged to bring your unique perspective and flair to make the role your own.  Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:   Demonstrated ability to define and lead segment strategies and customer propositions that balance commercial goals with customer needs. Proven experience delivering integrated proposition strategies across customer, product, marketing, pricing, and technology domains. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to leverage data, analytics, and insights to inform decisions and solve complex problems. Expertise in building relationships and influencing outcomes within matrix teams, alongside experience coaching and developing talent. Track record of leading teams—direct or matrix—to design and deliver innovative propositions that drive revenue growth and improve margins. Ability to optimise processes, manage risk in regulated environments, and ensure compliance throughout the proposition development lifecycle. Deep knowledge of retail banking products and customer segments, with experience managing third-party partnerships and developing business cases for investment.   You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
