Your next role: The Head of Data & Business Intelligence is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and implementing the organization’s BI strategy, ensuring it aligns with business goals and drives data-driven decision-making. This role involves overseeing data governance, managing a team, and fostering a data-driven culture. Key accountabilities include developing BI tools and platforms, identifying and tracking KPIs, and ensuring accurate reporting of business metrics.
Salary Banding: £95,000 – £110,000 per annum, depending on experience
Working Pattern: Hybrid, with approximately 2 days per week in the office

REQUIREMENTS

  • Develop and Implement BI Strategy: Creating a comprehensive BI plan that aligns with the organization’s overall objectives professionals.
  • Build and evolve a cohesive BI strategy aligned with organisational goals, ensuring a single source of truth for metrics and KPIs.
  • Engage functional leaders (e.g., Operations, Product, Finance, Clinical, Marketing) to understand their data needs and deliver tailored insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Expand and standardise use of Power BI across the organisation, ensuring ease of access, intuitive dashboards, and high visual quality.
  • Deliver analytical outputs that go beyond reporting—embedding predictive analytics, benchmarking, and performance trends into functional decision-making
  • Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Data Visualization :Drive the adoption of data visualization tools and best practices across the organization.
  • KPI Identification & Tracking: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and track key performance indicators.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Ensure accurate and timely reporting of business metrics and provide insightful analysis to stakeholders.
  • Technology & Infrastructure: Oversee the selection and implementation of BI tools, platforms, and data warehouse architecture.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work with diverse teams, including IT, finance, and marketing, to understand business needs and deliver BI solutions.
  • Data Literacy: Foster a data-driven culture by promoting data literacy and providing training to employees.
  • Innovation: Explore and implement new data analytics techniques and technologies, including AI, to drive business innovation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Strategic Vision: Develop and communicate the BI vision and strategy to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership:Lead and motivate the BI team, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.
  • Data Quality & Security: Ensure the integrity and security of data assets, adhering to data governance policies.
  • Business Value: Identify and deliver BI solutions that provide tangible business value and drive decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the BI process and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including C-suite, to ensure alignment and support for BI initiatives.
  • Budget Management: Manage the BI budget and ensure resources are used effectively.
  • Compliance: Ensure the BI function complies with relevant regulations and industry standards.
