Description

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We’re seeking an execution-focused Head of Data to lead our data strategy, architecture, and analytics efforts. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of infrastructure, insights, and impact. You’ll build a modern data foundation from the ground up, drive a large-scale migration from a legacy system to a greenfield architecture, and unlock high-value outcomes for both internal teams and our external customers.
This role is central to Aspira’s next phase of growth. Our data environment includes Snowflake and Oracle DB as key data sources. You will oversee the entire data lifecycle—from ingestion to modeling to business intelligence—ensuring data reliability, integrity, and actionable insights.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8–12+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or data leadership roles—ideally within a SaaS, marketplace, or platform business.
  • Proven track record of building and managing modern data platforms, including experience with Snowflake and Oracle DB.
  • Hands-on experience leading data migrations from legacy systems to cloud-native architectures.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills; comfortable diving deep into pipelines, schemas, and transformations.

Experience scaling data infrastructure to support product analytics, financial reporting, and customer-facing intelligence tools.

  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau) and modern data stack components (e.g., dbt, Fivetran, Airflow).
  • Ability to influence and communicate across executive, technical, and operational stakeholders.
  • A bias for action—someone who leads through execution, not just strategy.
