Description

As our Head of Data you will lead the design and execution of a coherent data strategy that harnesses the full potential of our system’s insights. Your work will drive business innovation by transforming raw data into strategic recommendations, predictive models, and decision-ready intelligence for stakeholders across the organisation.
Location: Hybrid, with some travel to offices required.
Salary: Competitive

What you will be doing:

  • Define Data Strategy: Develop and maintain a comprehensive data strategy roadmap, aligning data collection, processing, analysis and reporting capabilities with organisational goals.
  • Data Architecture & Integration: Oversee the ingestion, cleansing and integration of quantitative and qualitative data from our platforms and external sources, ensuring robustness, scalability and compliance.
  • Advanced Analytics & Modelling: Lead descriptive, diagnostic and predictive analytics projects, building statistical models, machine-learning pipelines and what-if simulations to forecast trends and identify growth opportunities.
  • Strategic Insights & Reporting: Produce executive-level dashboards, interactive reports and briefing papers that translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business units to understand their strategic challenges, co-create data-driven solutions and embed analytics into daily decision-making.
  • Governance & Ethics: Establish and enforce data governance policies, best practices for security and privacy, and ethical guidelines for AI/analytics initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor key performance indicators for data initiatives, solicit feedback from users, and iterate on tools, processes and methodologies to maximise impact.

What we need from you:

  • Significant experience in data strategy, analytics leadership or data-driven consulting roles, ideally within technology, finance or consulting sectors.
  • Strong track record of translating data insights into strategic business outcomes, revenue growth, efficiency gains or new product development.
  • Exceptional ability to tell a data-driven story, presenting complex findings clearly to executives, technical teams and non-technical audiences alike.
  • Experience leading cross-functional analytics projects, mentoring junior analysts and building consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to responsible data use, transparent methodologies and inclusive practices.

USEFUL ADDITIONAL ASSETS:

  • Qualifications/Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics or related field.
  • Certifications in cloud data platforms, data governance or machine learning.
  • Prior experience setting up or scaling in-house analytics teams.
  • Exposure to emerging areas (AI ethics, real-time analytics, Generative AI).
  • Deep knowledge of data engineering (ETL/ELT), warehousing (SQL/NoSQL) and cloud platforms (specifically Azure, Azure Data Factory, Azure AI Foundry).
  • Proficiency in analytical tools and BI/dashboard software (specifically Power BI/Fabric and related).
Don’t think you meet all the skills and qualifications listed? Studies have shown individuals with protected characteristics, such as women, people of colour or those in Neurodiverse groups (and many more) are less likely to apply for a role if they don’t meet all the requirements on a job advert. Claims Consortium Group strives to lead the way in creating a culture that promotes not only an equal but more importantly, an inclusive workforce that allows all our employees to be their authentic selves. If this role is something you’re excited about, but your experience doesn’t align with every qualification outlined, don’t stress it, we would encourage you to still apply as you may be the just the candidate we are looking for, for this position or another role.
