Job Title: Head of Data – Transformation
Location: Frimley, other UK locations will be considered. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Circa £114,000 depending on skills and experience, plus executive package

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Significant experience in leading large-scale data and digital transformation programmes in large multi-functional and complex organisations
  • Expertise in being able to oscillate between strategy and direction, tapping in to both the Transformation Authority expertise and the Digital Data, Cyber Leadership team, as well as being able to understand detail where required
  • Able to operate efficiently through the timely and efficient development of processes, provision of data and identification & approval for implementation of technology
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise systems (e.g., SAP ERP, SuccessFactors, Ivalua, Azure Microsoft Cloud platforms) and how they integrate with business processes
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills, with ability to build high-performance teams
  • Being a primary expert and trusted contact for stakeholders, leading and coaching teams while applying strong organisational and influencing skills to deliver business priorities under pressure

THE DATA TEAM:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Data – Transformation to lead enterprise-wide initiatives that shape the organisation’s data landscape and deliver measurable business value.
As the Head of Data – Transformation you will drive enterprise-wide data transformation by defining the roadmap, embedding governance, and enabling data-driven decision-making. Partnering with the Transformation Authority, CDO, and business leaders, you’ll champion change, ensure compliance, and accelerate adoption of new systems. Your immediate focus will be leading robust data management and assurance for the HR Evolve Technology Programme to maximise business value.

Responsibilities
  • Your 1st mission will be to lead the HR data strategy and governance for the HR Evolve Technology solution and related transformation programmes over an initial 18-month period

You will then take a wider role across the portfolio aligned to the following core duties

  • Providing strategic leadership for enterprise-wide data transformation, aligning vision, strategy, and outcomes with business objectives and the Transformation Authority’s remit
  • Leading cross-functional teams to deliver data transformation programmes, driving adoption of new platforms, processes, and practices through effective change management
  • Engaging and influencing executive stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on data strategy, governance, and transformation priorities
  • Establishing and overseeing data governance frameworks to ensure quality, integrity, lifecycle management, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Enabling technology and innovation by integrating and optimizing business platforms (e.g., SuccessFactors, SAP ERPs, Ivalua, Azure Microsoft Cloud platforms) and advancing adoption of emerging technologies and AI
  • Defining, tracking, and reporting on KPIs to measure transformation impact, while embedding continuous improvement in data processes and frameworks
  • Building and mentoring high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, capability development, and knowledge sharing across the organisation
