We are seeking a strategic leader with a business mindset who will champion data across all functions - design, manufacturing, commercial, digital health, and regulatory. This role is essential to enabling seamless, governed data flow across the enterprise, unlocking actionable insights at scale, and fostering a data-driven culture that supports timely, informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As the Head of Data Value, Enablement and Governance, you will:

  • Develop and lead ResMed’s enterprise-wide data strategy aligned to strategic and operational goals.
  • Identify high-impact use cases, KPIs, and business outcomes across commercial, clinical, product, and operational domains.
  • Chair the Data Governance Council and lead the engagement regarding data across all data domain leaders
  • Establish an organisational wide strategy for analytics, data visualisation and insights that will be then implemented by distributed analytics teams across the business
  • Accelerate our data culture by defining and building trust in the ‘metrics that matter’ for our 2030 strategy.
  • Drive the evolution of data and information culture within Resmed by being the champion for Data Literacy and maturity
  • Partner with all business functions where data and information is a core competitive advantage to promote Resmed’s strategy

You will also establish and lead our data governance framework:

  • Define and implement data ownership, stewardship, and accountability structures.
  • Align governance practices with data strategies and integrate them into platform, analytics, and master data initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and mitigate data risks.
  • Promote accountability for data assets across their lifecycle and prepare for audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Create communication plans and training programs to embed governance into daily operations and build a data-literate culture.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in leading enterprise-wide data strategies, governance frameworks, and analytics initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles including data ownership, stewardship, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive adoption of data policies and embed governance into business operations.
  • Previous expertise in data visualization, storytelling, and advanced analytics to influence decision-making.
  • Experience with scalable infrastructure, data platforms, and machine learning solutions. You will also have some exposure of applying Data to AI Use Cases.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, and experience preparing for audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to collaborate across business units, engineering, legal, and compliance teams to align data strategies.Excellent communication and change management skills to promote a data-literate culture
