We are looking for an experienced Head of Database Administration (DBA) to lead and scale our database team. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on expertise, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance across a diverse database ecosystem. Tech Stack Relational Databases: MySQL, Percona XtraDB Cluster, Amazon RDS, Aurora Analytics & Streaming: ClickHouse, CDC data streaming (Debezium) NoSQL: MongoDB Infrastructure: Databases hosted in the cloud, on-premises, and in Kubernetes environments Responsibilities: Lead and manage a growing DBA team (currently 5 members, with active hiring ongoing). Oversee performance, availability, backup, and disaster recovery for more than 100 database servers, including several high-load systems. Collaborate closely with development teams, solution architects, and data analysts to ensure database reliability and efficiency. Drive adoption of modern practices for database management, migrations, automation, and process standardization. Evaluate, implement, and optimize new technologies and solutions to meet evolving business needs. Requirements: Proven experience managing large-scale, high-availability database infrastructures. Strong leadership and people management skills. Experience working across cloud, on-premises, and containerized environments (Kubernetes).
