The Resourcing Hub provides a range of services to help managers attract, source and hire the best talent. We are a highly motivated team that works closely with stakeholders and delivery partners, collaboratively managing recruitment campaigns in the UK and overseas.
The Head of Delegated Recruitment role has responsibility for two teams which support the delivery of recruitment to the departments generic roles at grades Administrative Officer (AO) to Grade 6 level (known as delegated grades).

The Strategic Resourcing Partners are responsible for:

  • Delivery and maintenance of all resourcing policies and strategy.
  • Continuous improvement work across recruitment.
  • Approval and tracking of Civil Service Recruitment Exceptions.
  • Upskilling of hiring managers in resourcing routes and processes.

The Delegated Operations team are responsible for;

  • Supporting the onboarding of all candidates through all routes.
  • Ensuring compliance to the Civil Service Recruitment Principles.
  • All recruitment data and reporting.
  • Tracking and management of time-limited Right To Work.
  • Resolving hiring manager queries and issues.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Collaborating with internal HR partner teams, corporate partners like Commercial or the Government Recruitment Service, and external suppliers such as Hays and UK SBS to effectively deliver all resourcing and onboarding requirements.
  • Supporting Government-wide initiatives such as Places for Growth and prison leaver recruitment, to support reaching Departmental targets and goals.
  • Maintain ED&I stats in line with ONS, as well as plan to increase diversity within the Department.
  • Provide a third point of escalation for operational issues, applying a pragmatic approach to solving problems quickly and effectively.
  • Supporting the drafting of cross-team papers, policies and submissions to Senior Leadership on a range of recruitment topics.
  • Drive continuous improvement work through project management tools and processes.
  • Line Management of 2 Senior Executive Officers, with wider responsibility for 5 Higher Executive Officers and 8 Executive Officers, providing coaching, guidance and upskilling as required.
