Our client, an award-winning digital transformation agency trusted by global brands, major public sector bodies, and leading charities to deliver exceptional digital experiences, is seeking a dynamic and innovative Head of Digital to lead their digital strategy and execution.
This is a pivotal leadership role for an experienced professional with strong digital agency expertise, a hands-on approach, and a genuine passion for developing talent and optimising team performance.

QUALIFICATIONS/ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• 7+ years’ experience leading delivery in a digital agency environment or consultancy setting
• Proven ability to confidently lead multi-disciplinary teams including Project Managers, Product Owners, and support functions
• Solid background in UK public sector delivery including GDS standards, accessibility compliance, and security protocols
• Demonstrated success delivering complex projects £500K+ with comprehensive understanding of agile frameworks inside-out
• Strong expertise in delivery frameworks, agile processes, and delivery tooling (Jira, Trello, Confluence, etc.)
• Technical knowledge across SEO, UX principles, cloud platforms, and digital security to effectively collaborate with specialist teams
• Exceptional ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution when required
• Genuine passion for coaching, mentoring, and building high-performance teams that deliver consistent excellence

THE ROLE

The Head of Digital will take full ownership of the agency’s digital delivery function — leading a talented in-house team, refining operational processes, and driving excellence across multiple high-value digital transformation projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading the entire delivery function, ensuring quality, efficiency, and consistency across all projects
• Implementing structured yet agile delivery processes for continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Mentoring delivery teams, enabling professional growth and building delivery confidence throughout the organisation
• Overseeing project resourcing, capacity planning, and budget reconciliation to optimise profitability and resource allocation
• Governing multiple large-scale concurrent projects — often in the public sector — ensuring seamless coordination and delivery
• Collaborating with technical, UX, content, and design teams to ensure integrated project success and exceptional client outcomes
