About the Role RTG is seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Design to lead our UI/UX function across digital products, platforms, and client solutions. This role is responsible for defining and driving the design vision, ensuring the delivery of user-centered, scalable, and high-quality digital experiences aligned with business objectives, product roadmaps, and technology strategy. You will act as the senior design authority, lead and grow a high-performing UI/UX team, and collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities1. Design Strategy & Leadership Define, own, and evolve the UI/UX vision and strategy across all digital products and client solutions. Ensure consistency, usability, and design excellence across all user touchpoints. Partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to align design direction with business goals. 2. UI/UX Design & Product Experience Lead end-to-end UI/UX design activities including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. Champion user-centered design and data-driven decision-making. Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and scalability across all design outputs. 3. Team Leadership & Capability Development Lead, mentor, and develop a team of UI/UX Designers. Set clear performance expectations, career paths, and development plans. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing design culture. 4. Design Systems & Governance Establish, maintain, and govern design systems, UI standards, and UX guidelines. Define UI/UX workflows, review cycles, and quality assurance processes. Ensure alignment between design outputs and engineering implementation. 5. Stakeholder Collaboration Act as the senior UI/UX authority in internal discussions and key client engagements when required. Support product planning, solution design, and client proposals with strong UI/UX leadership. Translate complex business and technical requirements into intuitive user experiences. 6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Stay up to date with UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices. Drive continuous improvement in design processes, tools, and methodologies across the organization. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in UI/UX design, including senior or leadership roles. Proven experience leading UI/UX teams within technology or digital product environments. Strong portfolio demonstrating product thinking, UX strategy, and design leadership. High proficiency in UI/UX tools and modern design workflows. Strong knowledge of interaction design, usability principles, and accessibility standards. Hands-on experience with design systems and component-based design. Experience working in Agile and product-driven environments. Strong technical understanding and ability to collaborate with engineering teams.
