Unify was founded January 17th, 2023 by Austin Hughes and Connor Heggie. Prior to Unify, Austin led Ramp’s growth product team focused on new customer acquisition, and Connor was a machine learning research engineer at Scale AI. The rest of our team comes from companies like Airbnb, Spotify, Gusto and Retool.
Our mission is to build the first system-of-action for go-to-market teams, starting with an end to end platform powering warm outbound. Today, outbound sales is dominated by cold, mass outreach that floods people’s inboxes and converts to deals at a tiny rate. We’re building a platform to power warm outbound, allowing go-to-market teams to get in touch with the right people at the exact time they’re looking for a solution.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Unify is seeking a Head of Design to lead our Design team and champion the design function. This is a unique player-coach opportunity for a leader who can seamlessly blend strategic thinking with in-the-weeds execution to deliver truly intuitive and impactful product experiences.
This position is based in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY. We are a fully in-person company.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Define the Vision: own and articulate the overarching design vision and strategy for Unify, ensuring it aligns with our company goals and drives the future of our product.
• Drive Craft & Quality: Champion and elevate the craft of design across the organization. You will be the standard-bearer for quality, establishing processes and systems that ensure we ship polished, thoughtful, and impactful work.
• Lead & Develop a team of Designers: Lead, mentor, and grow our team of talented product designers. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive culture that empowers designers to do their best work. Develop career paths and growth opportunities for your team members.
• Be a Strategic Partner: Act as a key member of the product leadership team, collaborating closely with peers in Product Management, Engineering, and Go-to-Market to shape our product roadmap and strategy.
• Champion the User: Be the ultimate advocate for our users in all product decisions. Drive a culture of deep user empathy and leverage research and data to inform our design direction.
• Scale Design Operations: Implement and refine design processes (UX research, prototyping, QA, and documentation), and systems to create efficiency and excellence as we scale.
