Responsibilities
  • Lead Enterprise Architecture:
  • Define and refine as required the Target Architecture for the business.
  • Chair the Technical Design Authority ensuring that technical solutions are appropriate and adhere to the domain and Target Architectures.
  • Operate the Business Systems:
  • Lead the discipline for development and supplier management of applications to the business.
  • Defining acceptable purchasing processes for application software
  • Maintaining a portfolio of applications in use within Jersey Post and ensuring effective maintenance and updates are applied.
  • Maintaining the security of applications used as part of the Jersey Post Application Portfolio
  • Application development:
  • Accountable for the lifecycle of in house developed applications and the management of the development team
  • Ensuring development methods are in accordance with secure development policies and practices
  • Risk Management of application impacts on Jersey Post.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for projects involving applications and data resources and act as a project member for other projects as required.
  • Manage the team that reports to you
  • Building and maintaining good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Post-holders will be expected to undertake reasonable requests from managers in line with the range and scope of the post.
  • The conduct of the post holder must be in accordance with the terms of any Jersey and UK legislation e.g. employment legislation, human rights etc.
