Are you ready to lead AXA Ireland’s digital transformation? We’re seeking a dynamic Head of Digital to join our team on a maternity cover contract. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, you will define and execute our digital strategy, managing a talented team and collaborating with the wider digital function. In this pivotal role, you will drive innovative digital initiatives across the organisation, ensuring seamless online customer journeys—from quoting and purchasing to managing policies through MyAXA and AXA Plus. Your focus will be on delivering an exceptional customer experience (UX & UI), boosting revenues, and enhancing operational efficiencies. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work majority of your week away from home. Away from home means either attendance at one of our head office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing: · Oversee end-to-end digital customer journeys (quote, buy, MyAXA, AXA Plus) across all channels, ensuring a best-in-class user experience through usability testing and competitor analysis. · Manage digital budgets and ongoing costs, ensuring targets are met while optimising resource allocation. · Drive digital initiatives to enhance efficiency, revenue, and customer satisfaction, providing strategic direction to the Digital Product Factory and enablement teams. · Define KPIs, monitor digital project performance, and deliver regular insights and reports to support continuous improvement. · Develop the digital team’s capabilities, manage third-party partner relationships, and collaborate closely with AXA UK and Group teams. · Optimisation & Innovation: Lead UI and funnel optimisation, implement A/B testing strategies, and advise on innovative digital solutions to maximize revenue and customer engagement. · Oversee website updates, ensure compliance, and support ongoing digital enhancements aligned with business needs. · Ensure all digital activities adhere to internal policies and industry standards, maintaining high-quality service delivery. · 10+ years of total work experience essential in a similar role, with 5+ years of Senior management / leadership experience preferred. · Proven experience in leading and managing high performing teams and delivering across multiple functions and teams, with the passion of digital development at the forefront. · Digital led third level qualification or relevant discipline; with APA qualification desirable – not essential. · Skilled at communicating the complex digital solutions simply, adopting style to suit the audience and situation, while being respectful and sensitive to the organisational and individual impacts of change. · Experience with Agile Methodologies essential, with a Project Management qualification desirable. · Agile, embracing change and keeps afresh with the changing pace of the digital world. This role is allocated CF1 role under Fitness & Probity Regime which means the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced level of background screening requirements.
